PF Sloan's two Dunhill lps, and the few non-lp Dunhill 45s, are all excellent. (...) Ace released a nice single disc comp of the Dunhill material, but could have done the world a big favor by gathering it all onto two cds. Oh well. Speaking of Sloan & Dunhill, I'm still flabbergasted at how wonderfully Barry McGuire interprets Sloan's songs on his two Dunhill albums. I Agree. PF Sloan is sooo underrated. There's great stuff to find on all of his albums right up to the most recent, Sailover from 2006. From a Sunshine Pop perspective, I don't think you can find better trippy pop than this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzRI8XM7m98Also, check out this fantastic track he wrote for Johnny Tillotson: www.youtube.com/watch?v=VmEFGKZ7OVg

.... as for the album I'd most like to see reissued, I'd have to say Gary Usher's 'Beyond a Shadow of Doubt' project. It was finally released on CD back in 2001. There's probably not a lot of more stuff to dig out from those tapes but perhaps the sound quality on some of the songs could be improved? I'd love to see Now Sounds taking on something like this, giving it the kind of care and attention it deserves and with great liner notes to boot. For anyone here not familiar with these songs, check out sound samples here. If you can get past Gary's limited vocal abilities (never a problem for me - and Dick Campbell as well as Curt Boettcher sing beautifully on other tracks), you're in for a treat. The overall sound is almost a kind of countrified sunshine pop. Very mellow and a Collection of songs I simply can't tire of. Check out one of the highlight tracks: Ships (Gary Usher vocal) www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlD_ajP2FdQSo Long (Dick Campbell) www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tGULOG0yAE.... and a great companion to this disc is of course Dick Campbell's Blue Winds Only Know which collects songs from the same Usher/Campbell collaboration that spawned Beyond. Blue Winds... is perhaps a little more folksy/singer songwriter-like but just as enjoyable. Seagull, the song here, is actually also on Beyond in a more produced version... www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCTHBYxy6QMFor a bit of further reading: www.scrammagazine.com/beyond-a-shadow-of-usher

I`ll have to check it out! I have an original of the Les Irresistibles lp someplace, and an early 70s 45 by them called "Baby I Need You Back Again/The Lady Of France". Is there alot of non-lp stuff on it?

If we talk about online games, then I'm not a big fan of playing with other people. There are too many scammers around who use dishonest methods to play. I'd rather spend time in my favorite casino with really good gmblsites.com mr-bet games than spend time and nerves trying to beat people unknown to me.
