Ok, hello new members, Shall we get the ball rolling? How about giving us your favourite SP group and album you'd most like to see reissued. Though I frequent several forums, this is the first one I've started so any suggestions on rules etc would be welcome.

A couple of recent fave sunshine pop/softpsych lps of mine,Forever and Ever-"The First Look At",and Northern Lights-"Vancouver Dreaming". It`d be awesome if there`s any unreleased recordings,45-only cuts,non-lp b sides.

Gee, there's two already that I have to look into. My favorite? Probably "The Secret Life Of Harper's Bizarre". Dug out the Mutual Understanding album the other day a and had forgotten how good it was. Though it was reissued once in Japan, I'd love to have the Pleasure Fair album plus singles on CD.

I found a mint mono of Harper`s Bizarre`s 1st lp awhile back. I LOVE the song Rasperry Rug (did I spell that right?). I also found 2 copies of the pre Harper`s band The Tikis "Bye Bye Bye/Lost My Love Today". What`s weird is one copy is straight folk, while the other copy is garage versions of the same songs. Wonder why they released two different takes of the same songs, although the folk version is a white label promo.

Beercans, I'll have to check I've got all those Joyride tracks. Some cool stuff came out on World Pacific 45s - Gypsy Trips, The Sandals, Hard Times, Raga & The Talas, Gil & Johnny, the Meditations, New Phoenix, Decembers Children, late period Marketts, Harper & Rowe, not to mention Cathy Rich! Would make a nice compilation.

Billy T - Love that Meditations single (he he he). It's probably the definition of so bad that it's good.

I'll have to look into that, don't have the label to hand at the moment. I'm guessing not. Listening to those "Spiritual Obscurities" comps tonight. They did the rounds back in the early days of internet sharing - when we still used to mail CDs to each other!

That's a cool haul aqua, I don't do the record shops much these days but that makes me miss it. I'm a big Bang! records fan but I don't think I've heard that Rose Colored Glass 45. I will have a look for it tonight. What do you make of the PF Sloan LP? Haven't got much of his solo work. That lot on Swan will never make it! I've been looking into the World Pacific label this week and may post a little label survey if I get the time. Loads of good stuff to be found there.

PF Sloan's two Dunhill lps, and the few non-lp Dunhill 45s, are all excellent. The lps are pretty spare (one voice with a small group occasionally backing him) singer-songrwiter affairs. According to PFS, Dunhill only released the lps as they thought they would serve as demos for other artists. Ace released a nice single disc comp of the Dunhill material, but could have done the world a big favor by gathering it all onto two cds. Oh well.
Speaking of Sloan & Dunhill, I'm still flabbergasted at how wonderfully Barry McGuire interprets Sloan's songs on his two Dunhill albums.
