As nike air force 1 ultraforce continues to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the iconic Air Force 1, the Swoosh approached Miami-based artist Jason Seife to tell his story surrounding the legendary silhouette. Seife in turn joined with the brand for a two-part project, showcasing one low-top AF1 and one mid.
Per Jason, “This has always been a staple shoe in my collection since I was a child and being an artist from a young age it was inevitable that all my shoes would end up covered in paint.”
He collaborated with Nike to reimagine the nike air force 1 flyknit as part of the new AF-100 collection. Two other collaborators — designer Virgil Abloh and Chicago native Don C — also attended the River North party.
The nike air force 1 07 mid-tops also feature various hand-painted detailing in differing areas of the shoe. We then see the toe of Seife’s white Forces dipped in red paint, boasting complementary, multicolored designs.
