I hope NOW SOUNDS does a good job with mastering of Sugar Shoppe. I've been a wee bit concerned with that label for amping the audio up a bit too far, making the sound a bit too compressed. Sundazed, on-the-other-hand, always does excellent re-masterings. NOW SOUNDS typically has very good packaging though and usually includes 45 mixes as bonus tracks!  Wayne |

Out now on Reel Time - soundtrack to biker flick "The Hellcats". Davey Allen & The Arrows present and correct of course but some decent vocals by Somebody's Children and Davy Jones & The Dolphins make it a fun thirty minutes or two. Most importantly there's a Sunrays track that you won't find anywhere else (not even on the Collectibles 3 CD set). On first listen it doesn't sound all that much like Rick and the boys - further investigation taking place!

Was "The Additude" by The Sugar Shoppe released as a different take on a 45? I have a download of it someplace that`s way more garagey/psychy that the lp version.

Well it's not listed as a bonus track on the CD. I downloaded the album ages ago but never really listened to it. I'm going to wait for the CD and give it my full undivided. Do you rate it?
